About Brittany Segal
Brittany Segal is a San Diego-based, abstract, fine artist that creates with a plethora of mediums including oil, resin, different metals and pen. Segal graduated from The Academy of Art in San Francisco, where she got her degree in fine art sculpture. Her work has been shown with Soze Gallery in Los Angeles, ACD Gallery in San Diego, Art San Diego as the Launchpad artist and at Scope New York 2015. In addition to gallery shows, she creates both small and large scale commission work for private clients such as Eve by Eve’s in Beverly Hills and Holsem Coffee in San Diego and Private banks throughout the US.
Currently, Segal is working closely with Gensler on one of their upcoming hotels. Continuing her architecture and art ties, she is additionally working with Foundation for Form, an architect and development design studio. In November, she will be speaking about her work for CAC San Diego in an exclusive board event.
Segal’s inspirations stems from the individuals around her. People, the way they function and how they relate to others, is the core of her work. She captures the complexities, emotions, turmoils and celebrations that stem from human to human interaction within her abstract art. She is known for her chaotic abundance of detail on her grand-scale, oil paintings and her purposeful yet hauntingly illegible writings and intricate, small designs on her pen series.
